Daedalus da(e)-da-lus is of Greek origin, and its meaning is "craftsman" or "cunning worker."
In Greek Mythology, the Athenian Daedalus, was a famous architect, inventor, craftsman and most skillful artificer, so skillful that he was said to have invented images. Among his inventions and creations were the wooden cow he constructed for the queen Pasiphae, the Labyrinth at Knossos, and artificial wings for himself and his son Icarus to fly to safety from the tower in which they were held captive. To escape, Daedalus built wings for himself and Icarus. They successfully flew from Crete, but Icarus' wings melted when he flew too close to the sun. The Labyrinth on Crete in which the Minotaur was kept was also created by the artificer Daedalus.
Like our namesake we too are cunning in our pursuit of excellence and pride ourselves on
innovation and attention to detail. We are more than a custom builder, we are artisans in pursuit
of the perfect work. Our homes are more than mere objects, but unique works of art. Combining
proven craftsmanship and modern amenities we boast the slogan, "Respectfully Old, Tastefully New."
We fly this banner not only in the field of construction but also in the world of real estate
investments and development.
"I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience. I know no way
of judging of the future but by the past." Edward Gibbon
